Plan B – sustainable coaching for consumers

Under the name "Plan B", Pro Juventute, Caritas and commercial (for-profit) organisations, including Alphapay AG, are conducting a long-term cooperation with the aim of promoting the responsible handling of money and consumption within society and helping people who have fallen into the debt trap. The Switzerland-wide initiative for the prevention and control of over-indebtedness includes contributions towards the conscious handling of money and consumption, direct assistance with a preventive approach, and activities aimed at making "money and debt" less of a taboo subject.

Plan B is based on a three-tier concept:

• prevention
• anonymous counselling
• personal debt advice 

– always taking into account the latest scientific insights.

Alphapay supports Plan B with a substantial financial contribution and plays an active role on the board of the association. Although the association members have very different business models, all of the partners are firmly focussed on the common cause of developing products and services that encourage a sensible approach to handling money and consumption.

The “PlanB” project gained the first Intelligent Finance Foresight Award in 2009.
